Set up in the centre of the historic part of Quimper, the festival is an unique occasion to meet a plural culture expressed by its dancers, musicians and streets entertainers, an opportunity to participate to the blending of Breton culture to other cultures and musics.

More than 200 shows and cultural activities (some of them free) attract every year. 300 000 to 400 000 spectators. The festival is a great Breton tradition, more than 80 years old !

The great moments of the festival: "Quais en fêtes", great concerts with international artists, training courses, bagpipes and bombard players competitions, aperitif concerts in the bishop’s garden, introduction to Breton dancing, great parade of the guises (folk costumes), crowning of the Queen of the Cornouaille Festival...

The Festival de Cornouaille takes place every year around the end of the 3rd week in July, and lasts for 9 days.
